Within the UAE, yes. Outside it, talk to us first.
Driving to Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, Ajman, Ras Al Khaimah, Fujairah or Umm Al Quwain is straightforward on any of our cars. Just keep an eye on your mileage allowance — a run to Abu Dhabi and back is around 300 kilometres on its own, which is more than a day's included distance.
Leaving the UAE is a different matter. Taking the car across a border, including into Oman, is not permitted as standard. Our insurance covers the vehicle inside the UAE, and driving it out of the country without approval breaches the rental agreement and voids that cover.
If a cross-border trip is part of your plan, tell us before you book. We will look at where you are going, which car you want, and what would need to be arranged. Depending on the case there is often a workable solution — but it has to be agreed with us in advance and in writing, never after you have set off.
📣 Note: Crossing a border without our written approval leaves you personally liable for the vehicle, and any incident would not be covered. This is standard across every rental company in the UAE, not just us.
